Do you recognize any of these sweet faces?
We have been learning about the energy of motion. We used remote control, toy airplanes, and tennis balls to demonstrate the transfer of energy. We also did some experiments to learn about stored (potential) energy.
We celebrated the 100th day of school by doing six different activities for 100 seconds each. The students had 100 seconds to build the tallest tower out of 100 cups...
...record the number of gum chews in 100 seconds...
...100 seconds to write the numbers from 1-100 (the record was #1-63!)...
...as many jumping jacks as possible in 100 seconds...
...jumping by tens to 100...
...100 seconds to write their name as many times as possible...
It was such a fun way to end our 100th day of second grade!
