We had a short week, but packed a lot of learning into the past three days!
We are continuing to learn about different habitats in science.
On Monday the students did an activity to discover the amazing way God created ducks to live in freshwater habitats.

On Wednesday we compared and contrasted wetland and freshwater habitats. We went outside to observe the freshwater habitat behind our school.
Our theme for in chapel this year is, "The Way of Wisdom." Each week we have been learning about what it means to build our lives on the firm foundation of God and His Word. Mr. Joel Sims spoke to us about what can happen when storms come in our lives. Mr. Sims is an architect and he used his experience to make connections between the importance of a solid foundation in a building and in our lives. He had students from each grade build towers on different kinds of foundations. After shaking each foundation we saw that the tower built on the solid foundation withstood the storm.
Have a wonderful long weekend, I'm looking forward to seeing super 2nd graders on Monday!
